We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias to join our Maintenance Team.

The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all legal and quality standards. You’ll provide hands-on maintenance support across production and site facilities, helping to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production and ancillary equipment
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
- Work with pneumatic systems and interpret electrical/pneumatic schematics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all work complies with site quality and health & safety standards
- Act as host for contractors on site
- Participate in a paid, rotational out-of-hours emergency call-out system
About You
We welcome applications from engineers with either electrical or mechanical bias. Multi-skilled experience is desirable, but we are happy to develop the right individual.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or FMCG environment (preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with PPM systems (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to develop
Qualifications
- Minimum: City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- Multi-skilled qualification desirable but not essential
- Experience in highly regulated industries advantageous (chemical/aerosol experience beneficial but not essential)
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm
- Day shift
Overtime and occasional weekend work available.
Paid out-of-hours call-out rota.
