As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in promoting inclusion by supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, and EAL, helping to ensure they can fully access the curriculum. You will provide targeted one-to-one and small group support, adapt learning materials where necessary, and help to create an inclusive, positive, and respectful classroom environment. You will also support behaviour management strategies, encourage student engagement, and help build confidence and independence. Working collaboratively with the SENCo, teaching staff, and external professionals, you will contribute to personalised support plans and help monitor student progress. Maintaining strong communication with staff and, where appropriate, families, you will play an active role in ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
