Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of locking mechanisms and security systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of security hardware. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in delivering high-quality service to clients. A valid driver's licence is preferred to facilitate on-site visits and installations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain locks, safes, and other security devices across residential, commercial, and industrial premises
- Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions
- Cut keys and programme electronic access systems as required
- Respond promptly to emergency lockout situations, ensuring minimal disruption for clients
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
- Provide professional advice to clients regarding security upgrades and best practices
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Locksmith or in a related security role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of mechanical locks, electronic access control systems, safes, and master key systems is essential
- Familiarity with key cutting machines and programming tools is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex locking issues
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Valid driving licence preferred to facilitate on-site service calls
