Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs efficiently.
- Assist with the replacement of parts, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Carry out heavy lifting when required, such as moving engines or large components.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed on each vehicle.
- Ensure all vehicles are returned in a safe, roadworthy condition following service or repair.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in German vehicle repair or maintenance.
- M.O.T Tester preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for automotive work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in BMW/Mini/Mercedes/Vag are desirable but not mandatory. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their career within the automotive industry while contributing to high standards of vehicle safety and performance.
Pay: £38,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
