About the role
As a Pharmacy Support Worker (Higher Level) based in the oncology homecare team & ECC Pharmacy at the Western General Hospital, you will play an integral part in the delivery of homecare medicines. This role includes:
Maintaining accurate documentation and homecare medication records ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medicines from homecare providers
Communicating effectively with other members of the homecare team & homecare providers to resolve patient queries
Undertaking telephone calls to patients explaining the homecare delivery service
Labelling & dispensing medicines, assembling trays for aseptic preparation & maintaining stock

About you
Essential qualifications:
National 4 (or equivalent) English, Mathematics and a Science (Biology or Chemistry).
Educated to/or within 12 months following probationary period, completion of;
SQA Pharmacy Services Group Award (GA) SCQF Level 6 and specific education requirements for individual areas within pharmacy.
Previous experience in healthcare or pharmacy is beneficial but not essentialwe will provide all the training you need.
A passion for learning and development, with a professional attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
