Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Level 3 to join our Baby Room team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing environment, supporting the development and well-being of young children. The successful candidate will play a vital part in creating a safe, stimulating, and caring atmosphere that promotes early childhood learning and growth. Previous nursery experience and a strong understanding of early childhood education are essential for this position.
Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities tailored to the developmental needs of babies in accordance with early years frameworks.
- Provide high-quality care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and emotional well-being of all children in your care.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Support children's individual needs, including feeding, nappy changing, and sleep routines.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery by participating in team meetings and training sessions.
- Uphold safeguarding policies at all times to ensure the safety of children under your supervision.
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or similar setting.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead activities and support team members effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to childcare responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative independently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between settings or home visits.

Pay: £24,420.00-£41,778.08 per year
