More Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator to join one of our clients based in the Thurmaston LE4 area.
Role Overview
This position involves basic fabrication work within an engineering environment, primarily welding stainless steel and mild steel components, including machine covers and frames.
Key Requirements
- Essential: TIG welding experience
- MIG welding experience is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident welding from technical drawings with minimal supervision
- Experience welding material thicknesses of:
- 1mm
- 1.5mm
- 2mm
- Stainless sheet welding
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
Wage: £14.85ph
Assessment Process
Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment lasting approximately 30–60 minutes. This will include:
- A brief interview with the hiring manager
- A practical welding test
- An assessment of drawing-reading and fabrication skills
