Overview
Due to a full order book, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our team with a long established family run business in the East Midlands, specialising in construction and building projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Bricklaying, SSTS qualified level 2/3 (time served). This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality construction work while developing your skills within a professional environment. The position is a permanent full tile role, and suitable for individuals committed to craftsmanship and safety standards. Full driving license required.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out bricklaying tasks
- Construct, repair, and maintain structures using bricks, mortar, and other materials
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up ladders, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Maintain equipment in good working order through regular inspections and basic repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience in , bricklaying is essential - SSTS level 2/3 qualified (time served)
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow safety guidelines diligently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to demonstrate reliability and a commitment to quality workmanship
