The role is available to work on a part time basis and term time plus 2 weeks is also an option.
We are delighted to be partnering with our education client to recruit for a People Advisor to join their established HR team.
Reporting to the Head of People Services, this role will provide a dedicated and customer focused HR service to all employees. The role will also support and mentor the People Administrators with potential to line manage.
The ideal candidate will have strong advisory experience, ideally gained from a unionised environment.
Role Duties:
- Provide a high-quality, legally compliant HR advisory service to a designated group of staff, supporting managers across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, attendance management, wellbeing, offboarding, organisational change TUPE, and workforce planning.
- Support the analysis of people data to inform decision-making.
- Support the delivery of an efficient and effective HR administration service, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of employee records, HR systems, and Central Records, in compliance with the organisation policies, GDPR, and data protection requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Payroll and People Administration colleagues to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Develop management capability through the provision of practical HR advice, coaching, guidance, and training.
- Support the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
- Foster positive and constructive relationships with unions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience of working at Advisory level with good ER casework knowledge.
- CIPD qualified preferred but strong work experience also considered.
- Education industry experience an advantage but not essential.
- Experience of working in a unionised environment preferred.
- Strong database and data entry skills.
- Strong communicator with a proactive and confident approach.
