Artist Residence Brighton is a relaxed, characterful 27-bedroom boutique hotel on Regency Square, overlooking the West Pier. We’re known for warm, friendly hospitality and a laid-back atmosphere, and breakfast is an important part of how guests start their day with us.
We’re a small but friendly team, and we’re looking for a reliable Weekend Breakfast Chef to join us. Ideal for someone local who enjoys morning work and daytime hours.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast for our hotel guests, working solo in an open kitchen. Breakfast is cooked to order and ranges from fresh, simple cold dishes through to classic hot plates.
Hours:
- Weekends: 7.30am – 12.00pm
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a range of hot and cold breakfast dishes, including granola and compote, full English breakfasts, crushed avocado on toast, and fluffy pancakes
- Working confidently solo in an open, guest-facing kitchen
- Delivering food that tastes great and is consistently well presented
- Staying organised and calm during busier weekend services
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Managing breakfast ordering to ensure good stock levels, consistent portions, and minimal waste
- Presenting yourself well and interacting warmly with guests when needed
With 27 bedrooms, weekends can be busy, so good organisation, pace, and a steady approach are important.

- You work cleanly, safely, and hygienically
