Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to emergencies. - Must hold a CCTV Operators Licence
- Must hold a Door Supervisor’s Licence
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting any theft or vandalism
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergency situations, including medical incidents, using first aid procedures when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety standards
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents
Experience
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with loss prevention methods is desirable
- Basic first aid certification or willingness to undergo training is required
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
