Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide companionship and support to older adults in a flexible, self-employed capacity. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by offering social interaction, assistance with daily activities, and emotional support. The position is ideal for those with a caring nature who wish to work independently and on their own schedule. Candidates with experience in assisted living, nursing, or home care are highly encouraged to apply. All roles are paid positions, reflecting the value of your time and effort.
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful conversation with older adults to promote mental well-being
- Assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Supporting mobility through gentle assistance or supervision during walks or transfers
- Helping organise activities that stimulate cognitive function and promote social engagement
- Accompanying clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitoring clients’ health status and reporting any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, dementia care, or home care is desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices and behaviour management techniques
- Valid driving licence and a clean driving record are preferred( Essential but not mandatory)
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary and perform light household tasks safely
- Reliable, self-motivated, organised individual committed to providing high-quality care in a flexible working environment

This is a self-employed role ( a contract for services, not employment). You'll be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. All companions complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references before starting - we'll guide you throught it. You must have the right to work in the UK.
