About the role
We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HGV driver to join our team. The position is based in Llangefni, with flexibility to cover nearby branches as needed to support operational requirements.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday (7:30 am to 5:00 pm), with alternate Saturday mornings (8:00 am to 12:00 pm).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring safe delivery of general building and timber materials
- Assisting in loading /unloading the vehicle and making multi-drop deliveries
- Providing a friendly and reliable delivery service to our customer base
- Representing the company when dealing with our customers and the public
- Maintaining standards of cleanliness and safety within the working environment
- Ensuring paperwork is accurate and signatures are obtained when required
- Undertaking any reasonable task or ad hoc duties within the scope of the post
The successful candidates should have;
- A valid HGV (class 2) licence with a current CPC card
- Experience in commercial driving
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team or alone under own initiative
- Good communication skills, approachable personality and enjoying working with people
- Familiarity of the local area and a reasonable level of physical fitness would be beneficial
- Experience with HIAB & relevant certification would be an advantage, although training will be provided to the right candidate
- Knowledge of the building industry and building supplies would be an advantage
