Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive for a successful and growing company based in Warrington, this is a new position within the company with a sole focus of growing the sales of the business. Our client is a supplier of high-quality workwear, uniforms, and promotional products to businesses across the UK.
Due to continued growth (over 40% in the last year alone!) they are looking for Business Development Executive to expand the customer base and develop accounts.
The role:
· Proactively generate new business through outbound sales activity (approx. 80%)
· Respond to and convert inbound enquiries (approx. 20%)
· Build strong relationships with prospective customers and convert them into long-term clients
· Take ownership of the accounts you win, managing and developing them to drive repeat business
· Prepare quotes and follow up to close sales opportunities
· Use CRM systems to manage pipeline, track activity, and maintain accurate customer records
· Work towards and exceed individual sales targets
Requirements:
· Proven track record in sales, ideally in an outbound or telesales role
· Confident and professional telephone manner
· Experience using a CRM system to manage sales activity and pipeline
· Ability to manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting through to account development
· Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on long-term customer value
· Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient
· Well-organised, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively
· Experience in workwear and uniforms is desired but not essential
