Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Mortgage Advisor to join our financial services team. The successful candidate will assist clients in securing suitable mortgage solutions, providing expert guidance throughout the application process. Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ financial circumstances to identify suitable mortgage options
- Provide expert advice on mortgage products, interest rates, and repayment plans
- Guide clients through the entire mortgage application process from initial enquiry to completion
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current market trends, regulations, and lender criteria
- Prepare and submit mortgage applications on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and other relevant stakeholders
- Keep detailed records of client interactions and transactions in accordance with company policies
- Promote additional financial products or services where appropriate to meet client needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience within financial services or mortgage advising is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong understanding of basic maths and financial calculations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently
- Organised with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and applications
- Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach to client interactions
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining team collaboration when necessary
