This role is self-employed with 35 hours of work per week. The position requires a full driving licence and own transport.
Job Purpose:
To provide safe and reliable transport for clients accessing supported accommodation services, while actively engaging in outreach and referral development activities. This role combines client transport with a proactive sales and engagement function to generate new referrals from local authorities, hospitals, social workers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities: Transport Duties:
- Safely transport clients to and from supported accommodation, appointments, or other required locations.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, clean, and roadworthy.
- Provide a supportive and respectful environment during transport.
Referral Development & Sales:
- Identify and build relationships with referral sources such as social workers, hospitals, probation services, and community organisations.
- Promote the organisation’s supported accommodation services to potential referrers.
- Attend networking events, meetings, and outreach visits to generate new leads.
- Maintain a pipeline of referral opportunities and follow up on leads.
- Work towards monthly referral targets and KPIs.
Client Engagement & Administration:
- Support the intake process by gathering initial client information during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, referrals, and outreach activities.
- Provide feedback to the team on referral trends and opportunities.
Person Specification:Essential:
- Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
- Experience in sales, or outreach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of supported accommodation or social care environments.
Desirable:
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or young people.
- Knowledge of local authority referral processes.
