An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic organisation in the pivotal role of Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager to oversee a refurbished 12 bed residential care home extending to a 18 bed residential care home for services users with mental health.

The Role: -
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing staff on aday to day basis and be responsible for delivering the best quality of care and a responsive service.
Candidate requirements: -
This role will suit someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior role in a residential care home setting.
Who is an enthusiastic individual and passionate about ensuring the safety of our service users is paramount and works within the remit of the safeguarding regulations
Strong operational man management skills
Ensure CQC compliance targets are met along with expected standards and legislation
Provide effective leadership to the staff team, ensuring staff are empowered and delegated to, in line with their roles and responsibilities
Ensure that recruitment and selection, management, training, development, supervision and appraisal of all base roles are planned, undertaken and monitored effectively
Manage in a timely fashion the conduct and competence of staff, including overseeing and participating in performance management, disciplinary, absence and grievance procedures
Build and maintain a culture that promotes safety, dignity, respect and choice
Able to engage with stakeholders to identify their service needs and review the quality of services provided
Sets challenging goals and exceeds them
Relevant qualifications i.e. NVQ 3 in Care or working towards qualification
