Powder Coating Supervisor
Job Purpose
To oversee and manage the powder coating process, ensuring high quality finishes, efficient production, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise daily powder coating operations and team performance
· Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
· Monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes
· Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines
· Train and support team members on best practices and equipment use
· Conduct quality checks and resolve coating defects/issues
· Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe working practices
· Manage stock levels of powders, chemicals, and consumables
· Coordinate maintenance of coating equipment and spray booths
· Attend and actively contribute to production, quality and management meetings.
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience in powder coating within a manufacturing environment
· Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
· Strong knowledge of coating techniques and quality standards
· Ability to read technical drawings/specifications
· Good problem-solving and organisational skills
Qualifications (Desirable)
· NVQ/City & Guilds in Manufacturing or Surface Finishing
· Health & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH)
Pay: £19.00 per hour
