Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other light snacks.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout shifts.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Previous barista experience of three years is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps deliver exceptional service.
- Basic skills in food preparation are advantageous for assisting with light kitchen tasks.
- Good basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately.
