Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Follow individual care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to relevant professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care provided in accordance with organisational policies
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
- Support with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided if required)
Skills
- Experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and team members
- Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
