Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Oral Surgeon to join Kings Dental Specialists, a private specialist-led referral-based multidisciplinary practice in Kingston upon Thames.
Our team includes in-house specialists in endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics and we have a referral base oral surgery service from local dentists and referring practices. Due to an upcoming change within our clinical team, we are seeking a Specialist Oral Surgeon to continue and further develop this well-established service.
The successful candidate will provide a full range of oral surgery treatments, including surgical extractions, impacted wisdom tooth removal, exposure and bonding procedures, management of failed extractions, and other complex dento-alveolar surgical cases. The role is primarily referral-based, working closely with referring dentists and our in-house specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
You will be supported by a highly experienced clinical team and have access to modern facilities, including Cone Beam CT imaging, operating microscopes, and intravenous sedation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and treatment planning of referred oral surgery cases
- Surgical extraction of teeth, including impacted wisdom teeth
- Management of complex dento-alveolar surgical procedures
- Exposure and bonding of impacted teeth
- Provision of treatment under local anaesthetic and intravenous sedation
- Close collaboration with in-house specialists to provide multidisciplinary care
- Communication with referring dentists and provision of detailed clinical reports
Requirements:
- Applicants MUST be registered on the GDC Specialist List in Oral Surgery
- Experience in managing complex oral surgery cases
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
- Commitment to high clinical standards and a referral-based model of practice
