Due to our clients preferences. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated full time female Care Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in their homes between the hours of 7am to 9.30pm. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence.
Prior experience in care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or general caregiving is highly desirable. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the healthcare sector.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Administer medication following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases of dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when needed
Experience
Candidates should ideally have prior experience in caregiving roles such as nursing, home care, or hospice environments. Experience working with elderly or vulnerable persons, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's, is preferred.
Skills in medication administration, behaviour management, meal preparation, and first aid are highly valued. A background in assisted living or nursing home settings will be advantageous.
About You
Applicants must demonstrate a caring attitude, patience, and excellent communication skills. Valid driving licences are beneficial for roles involving transportation duties.
