Deputy Safeguarding Lead – 37 hours per week 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm Friday. £33,500.89 FTE (BRK30) fixed term to end of December 2026 (with potential to be extended)

Are you passionate about safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Safeguarding Lead at Brooklands Technical College, based at our Weybridge campus.
About the role:
In this vital role, as Deputy Safeguarding Lead, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, happiness, and academic success of our students. Your role will also include:

Implement and monitor effective safeguarding policies and procedures

Provide support and guidance to students experiencing difficulties, including those with SEN
-
Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
-
Deliver training and awareness-raising sessions on safeguarding and wellbeing
-
Develop and implement action plans to address identified risks.
To fulfil the role of Deputy Safeguarding Lead you will have:

Experience in a safeguarding or related role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Passionate about supporting young people and promoting their wellbeing
