What we’re looking for:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our finance department as an Accounts Apprentice.
This role will be ideal for those due to complete their A Levels and looking for a chance to kickstart their career, whilst gaining valuable experience within a fast paced and growing organisation. The purpose of the role is to assist and support with the day to day running of the company’s finance department. Alongside this, an office-based apprenticeship will be offered to develop your accounts knowledge and skills to encourage growth and progression.
Responsibilities: Accounts payable / Accounts Receivable General
- Supporting the accurate and timely processing of invoices or data.
- Assisting the team to review external and internal queries by phone and email.
- Utilising and following the relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts against accounting software.
- Learning and developing an understanding on Construction Industry Scheme legislation.
- Developing knowledge on how to navigate Company Software to extract appropriate data.
- Other administration duties as reasonable required from time to time.
- Assisting and supporting with accurate and timely remittance processing.
- Understanding and expanding knowledge on compliancy and audit around submission of applications.
- Other duties as reasonably required from time to time.
- Ensuring accuracy and self-checking of work.
- Providing support to colleagues ensuring the department is working as a team.
- Administration tasks where required.
- Working to monthly deadlines set within procedure.
- Reviewing and logging of relevant documentation.
- Learn and expand an understanding of Microsoft Applications along with Finance Software.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s (Grade’s A-C or 9-4).
- 3 A Levels (or equivalent)
- Computer literate
- Well organised with a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate well with others.
- Basic understanding of Accountancy/Finance.
- Willingness to learn.
- Hard-working.
- Enthusiastic and determined.

Pay: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
