Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Drive or accompany clients as required for appointments or outings, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour promptly to senior staff
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within care environments
- Contribute to creating a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for all service users
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is mandatory
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing person-centred care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
