Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Curry Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian curries and other related dishes with authentic flavours.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure timely service delivery in collaboration with front-of-house staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in Indian cuisine, specialising in curry dishes.
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations.
- Experience in team management, leadership, and staff training.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations relevant to hospitality settings.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable.
- Skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving are essential for delivering high-quality dishes consistently.
