About the Role
Spartan are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our team as a Hydraulic Attachment Fitter. The role involves assembling, fitting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of hydraulic attachments used in construction, plant, and agricultural machinery.
You do not need prior hydraulic experience. We welcome applicants from related mechanical or fitting backgrounds, including:
- Motor mechanics
- Tyre/exhaust/brake fitters
- Plant/vehicle technicians
- Mechanical assemblers
- Fabrication or workshop roles
Full product and technical training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and install hydraulic attachments and components.
- Carry out repairs, servicing, and routine maintenance on customer equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical/hydraulic issues and complete corrective work.
- Inspect products prior to dispatch to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Use workshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Complete all documentation and job sheets accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Support the wider workshop team where required.
Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Previous experience in a hands‑on mechanical, fitting, or workshop role (automotive, plant, agricultural, tyre & exhaust, mechanical assembly, etc.).
- Able to use hand tools and power tools confidently.
- Good understanding of mechanical principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Basic understanding of hydraulics (training provided).
- Experience working with plant, construction, or agricultural equipment.
- Welding or fabrication skills.
