Job Description: Warehouseman / Fork Lift Driver
Direct Report: Warehouse Supervisor / Branch Manager
Responsible for picking, packing and loading goods onto designated vehicles.
Responsible for general warehouse duties, these include receiving / accepting deliveries, off-loading goods and placing into the correct yard / warehouse location, as instructed.
Checking all goods received paperwork and verifying they match receipt paperwork, amending as necessary.
Daily safety / maintenance checks to forklifts (electric & gas).
General warehouse housekeeping, sweeping, cleaning and maintaining a safe and tidy workplace.
You will be required to;
- Assist with the efficient running of the trade counter, serving customers where necessary and loading goods into / onto customer vehicles.
- Participate in the quarterly stock check process (Saturdays if required).
- Alert any stock shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor / Branch Manager so that accurate stock levels can be maintained / replenished.
From time to time, you may be asked to conduct other functions, these will be at the discretion of the Branch Manager / Managing Director.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
