One of the most important roles in the adult care home sector is, arguably, the activities team. At The Forge Care Centre, we believe that the provision of purposeful and engaging activity for people in our care is a fundamental component of living well. Our residents have a wide range of needs as well as abilities that make up their social wellbeing. We are looking for trained or enthusiastic people who are empathetic, kind, person focussed and creative to lead a team of co coordinators.
A preference will be given to those who are registered with Social Care Wales and have any formal qualification training or skill set that is applicable. This includes:
· Level 3 Certificate in Activity provision in Social Care
· Level 4 Health and Social Care Leadership and Management
The activities coordinator’s day usually starts at 9am but we can look at some flexibility to those who have had a similar role and are the right candidate. This is not a sponsorship position and you must have the right to work in the UK without a certificate of sponsorship for now or in the future.
You will ideally be able to:
· Supervise and mange a small team of activity coordinators and join in
· Plan rotas and manage annual leave requests in time
· Hold team meetings for area development and planning in time
· Innovate team working and collaboration with other specialities
· Produce timetables of activities, evaluate effect and liaise with outside services
· Create full records of activities for our residents and document accordingly
· Work alongside the activities team in providing meaningful and purposeful activity

We are also looking to expand our lovely activities team and welcome anyone able to commit to 9-5 three or four shifts a week. You may not need prior experience, but you must be a very outgoing and creative personality. You must have the right to work in the UK as this is not a sponsorship position.
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
