Blossoms Pre-School & Nursery is an independently owned day nursery located in a beautiful village - Dickens Heath, Shirley. We offer a unique mixed aged setting for 17 children each day for children aged 9 months to 4 years old. Our setting has been established since 2013 and is rated GOOD by Ofsted.
We are seeking someone with leadership experience, whether that's leading a room or already being a Deputy. You will be key person to our 2-3 year olds. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in a small, focused setting where your ideas matter! You must be reliable, genuine and trustworthy with a minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification. You will have excellent safeguarding knowledge. You will work closely with the Owner, Assistant Manager and our friendly team to further enhance the delivery of high-quality childcare. There is flexibility to take on roles within the nursery to suit your own individual development - SEN children, food hygiene etc. Training can be given to support any aspirations. We pride ourself on being a home from home setting that has close relationships with families.
Applicants must be available to open for 7:30am and/or close at 6:00pm. Applicants are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will be required to open and/or close the setting adhering to policies and procedures.Commitment and flexibility is ideal in order to cover sickness and annual leave.
Essential:
- You must hold a recognised early years qualification (Level 3 or above) with experience in a childcare setting.
- You must have leadership experience in a nursery, pre-school, or similar early years provision.
- You must have a thorough understanding of EYFS, Ofsted expectations, safeguarding, and best practice.
- You will be an excellent communicator with strong team leadership skills.
- You will be organised, proactive and dedicated to delivering the highest standards of early years care.
