Job Summary
QHSE ABERDEEN is a growing and ambitious consultancy specialising in Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Sustainability management systems. As businesses increasingly focus on ESG performance, carbon reduction and sustainability reporting, we are looking to recruit a proactive and driven QHSE & Sustainability Co-ordinator to support both our organisation and our clients in achieving their sustainability objectives.
This role will primarily focus on carbon counting, ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives, with QHSE management system support forming a secondary part of the position.
The Role
The successful candidate will support clients with the development, monitoring and reporting of ESG and sustainability performance, including carbon footprint measurement, environmental data analysis and sustainability reporting.
The role will involve a combination of office-based work in Aberdeen and visits to client sites across various sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesSustainability & ESG (Primary Focus)
- Supporting clients with ESG data collection, analysis and reporting
- Assisting with carbon footprint calculations and carbon reduction planning
- Supporting sustainability improvement projects and initiatives
- Preparing ESG reports, sustainability metrics and performance dashboards
- Analysing environmental and operational data using advanced Excel functions
- Assisting clients in meeting sustainability objectives and compliance obligations
- Supporting development of carbon reduction strategies and action plans
- Managing sustainability documentation and records through SharePoint systems
- Monitoring KPIs and producing management reporting information
QHSE Support (Secondary Focus)
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO management systems
- Assisting with internal audits and external certification audits
- Supporting QHSE compliance documentation and continual improvement activities
- Assisting with risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions
- Providing administrative and co-ordination support across client projects
Essential Requirements
- ISO Lead Auditor qualification (9001, 14001 or 45001)
- Recognised Environmental qualification
- Experience in ESG reporting, sustainability or environmental management
- Knowledge of carbon counting and sustainability reporting principles
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Experience with carbon accounting platforms or ESG reporting tools
- NEBOSH qualification
- Experience within consultancy or multi-client environments
- Knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting
- Experience supporting Net Zero or sustainability strategies
