Forklift Truck Operator (FLT)/ Warehouse Operative – Day Shift
- Location: Somercotes, Derbyshire
- Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour
- Shift: Monday to Friday - 8.30am-4.30pm
- Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing (temp to perm)
Job Description:
Sky Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Operator (FLT) to join our client, who is a successful family owned business based in Somercotes, Derbyshire.
You must have experience with picking products, using handheld scanners and have a valid FLT Counterbalance licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate both Counterbalance forklift trucks safely and effectively
- Picking products using handheld scanners
- Select and prepare dispatch orders
- Load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, and handling of products
- Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on FLT equipment
- Assist with inventory control and general warehouse duties
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet distribution and safety targets
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance (in-date certification required)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Must be able to work full-time
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items when necessary
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
