We’re seeking a proactive and customer-focused Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our catering unit, ensuring a high-quality food and beverage service for students, staff, and visitors. Working closely with the Catering Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment within catering provision.
This is an annualised hours role.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience by preparing and serving drinks, snacks, and food products in line with Starbucks standards, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and presentation at all times.
- Maintain operational excellence by carrying out daily checks, stock control, cash handling, and monitoring wastage to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the catering unit.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations, the Food Safety Act, and internal monitoring requirements.
- Promote quality and consistency by ensuring the correct use of equipment and materials, maintaining production standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the catering service.
- Support wider catering operations and events by assisting with functions, special events, and additional services as required, helping to meet the needs of the College community.
