1:1 Teaching Assistant, Primary School (Southam – CV47)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (37.5 Hours a Week), Term Time Only
Pay: £92.62–£100 per day (PAYE – no umbrella deductions) / approx. £463–£500 weekly
An exciting role has become available for a 1:1 teaching assistant to deliver SEND support in a primary school in Southam. This full-time role will start in September 2026 and will continue for the academic year. The role will involve supporting a child with specific learnings needs.
The school itself focuses on seizing opportunities beyond the national curriculum to enhance children’s development. It is a one form entry school and serves the local community in Warwickshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent, individualised 1:1 support in line with the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Monitor and support the pupil’s academic progress through differentiated approaches.
- Apply positive behaviour approaches, de-escalation methods, and structured routines to support the student in regulating their emotions and behaviour.
Key Requirements:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH/SEND needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Two recent and relevant references
- Right to work in the UK
