Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading automation business where you can develop your skills, earn excellent overtime, and work with some of the most advanced automated technology in the UK?
We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading automation and logistics organisation operating within a highly automated distribution environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established international engineering company that continues to grow year-on-year through significant investment in technology, innovation, and its people.
You'll be working on a variety of cutting-edge automation systems including robotics, conveyors, shuttle systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and high-speed material handling equipment, supporting some of the UK's most recognisable retail and e-commerce brands.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of highly automated equipment through both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated machinery.

Fault finding and repairing conveyors, robotics, automated storage systems, and material handling equipment.

Replacing and repairing mechanical components including bearings, rollers, pulleys, belts, chains, and pneumatic systems.

Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.

Using a CMMS system to record maintenance activities and manage workloads.

Assisting with equipment rebuilds, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Supporting site reliability and performance initiatives to maximise operational efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

A recognised engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled).

Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, logistics, distribution, warehousing, FMCG, or automated environments.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.

Experience working within fast-paced engineering environments.
