Job Description:
2fawcett has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate HSE Advisor to join a civil engineering company. This company is known for delivering complex highway technology, electrical, and civil engineering solutions. This role offers an excellent platform to begin a career in Health, Safety & Environment, you will be provided full training and mentorship to develop a long-term career within HSE, working on critical national infrastructure projects in a forward-thinking and innovative environment.
You will be based on-site, primarily working night shifts, gaining hands-on experience on live infrastructure projects across the region. As a Graduate HSE Advisor, you will gain practical experience across a wide range of HSE activities within a fast-paced highways and infrastructure environment.
- Assist with managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System and associated ISO accreditations [9001, 14001 and 45001]
- Write clear and concise reports, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Reviewing RAMS
- Liaising with Site Management
- Co-operate and implement company and individual HSW targets and objectives.
- Undertaking Site Inspections – These will be predominantly at nighttime.
- Liaising with Site Teams
- Performing thorough investigations to offer root cause analysis and conclusions for all accidents, incidents, and high potential near-misses.
Candidate requirements
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Construction/Highways experience [preferred but not essential]
- Highway’s experience [preferred but not essential]
- Understanding of MS Office Suite
- Good communicator with external and internal stakeholders
- Desire to learn and implement sector specific knowledge.
- Willing to work night shift.
- Full driving licence
- Undertake Drug & Alcohol testing.
- Undertake safety critical medical.
- CSCS – Desirable.
