Rype Office is an award award-winning office furniture remanufacturer and fit-out company based in London.
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to deliver office furniture Installations & fitouts projects from award through to completion. Please note this is a hands-on role.
Location:
The role will spend most days on client sites across England and Wales, with occasional travel to Scotland and Ireland. When not on site, you will be based at Rype Office’s premises in High Wycombe.

As a Project Manager at Rype Office, you will be responsible for delivering client projects ranging from one-day to multi-week furniture installations. This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to step in wherever needed, whether that means planning a project, supervising subcontractors, assembling furniture, or driving a van to site.
You will have hands-on experience working with tools and be detail-oriented, energetic, practical, and confident in problem-solving. You will work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and you will be keen to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are delivered safely, economically, on time, and to a high standard of quality. You will be expected to be both organised and hands-on, helping with furniture installation, driving, and problem-solving as needed.
- Liaise with clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams, including our remanufacturing and buying teams.
- Plan and manage project delivery schedules, including pre-delivery preparation, key milestones, and contingencies.
- Conduct pre-project site visits to check access and plan logistics.
- Prepare and submit Risk and Method Statements (RAMS), and other required site documentation.
- Arrange site access and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Order required items in association with the Buying team.
- Receive goods on site and perform quality checks.
- Manage subcontractors and supervise installation teams.
- Provide hands-on assistance with furniture installation.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and milestones.
- Prepare regular site and progress reports.
- Resolve day-to-day on-site issues and identify potential future risks early, proposing practical solutions.
- Maintain on-site health and safety standards and contribute to a safety-first culture.
- Act as on-site First Aider, with training provided if required.
- Suggest improvements to processes and ways of working as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
- Represent Rype Office in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Experience supervising teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A strong eye for detail.
Desirable:
- Experience in project coordination or furniture and fit-out projects.
- First Aid training.
- Familiarity with RAMS, site procedures, or construction or fit-out environments.
- Qualifications in trades, engineering, or project management.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Must hold a clean UK driving licence.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overnight stays.
- Must be comfortable with hands-on physical work, including installing furniture and loading vans
