Overview
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to begin their career within the freight and logistics industry. A starting salary of £18,000 – £19,000 is offered, along with full training and development opportunities
Responsibilities
- Assisting the operations department
- Updating the in-house operational system accordingly
- Delivery monitoring and follow up as necessary/as required
- Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Checking shipment documentation and information
- Additional to the above, you will be supporting other team members/departments
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, methodical and has attention to detail, good time management and organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and use own initiative, ability to identify and put forward new ideas for improvements, strong team player, pro-active and willing to be flexible in work required, conscientious and open to suggestions/ideas, willingness to learn, ISO9001 compliance.
Please note that, as our customer an HMRC-approved company and must comply with industry accreditations, we are required to complete a full background check for all staff. This will involve the following:
- Basic DBS check (criminal record check)
- 5-year history of employment or education (no gaps in employment longer than 28 days)
- ID check i.e. British passport or driving licence
Pay: £18,000.00-£19,000.00 per year
