Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic delivery operation. The position requires a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence and previous experience in the industry but not essential.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver parcels and goods to multiple destinations within specified timeframes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt of goods
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Follow company policies on health and safety, including COVID-19 protocols where applicable
Qualifications
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising professionally with customers and team members
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries within tight schedules
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is preferred
