Salary: £50,000.00 - £60,000.00 + O/T + Van & FC
Location: Birmingham
Shift: 42.5 Hrs (Mon-Fri Days)
Mobile Generator Engineer - About the Role
Our client, a respected name in the power generation and plant machinery industry, is seeking a skilled Generator Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working both in the field and workshop, providing hands-on technical support to a loyal customer base.
The successful Generator Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting a range of generator machinery across the region, ensuring equipment remains in peak operating condition.
Mobile Generator Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a range of generator machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults effectively.
- Service and repair associated equipment on customer sites and in the workshop.
- Deliver a high standard of technical support and customer service.
- Accurately complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Represent the company professionally, maintaining positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Work independently or as part of a team to achieve service targets.
Mobile Generator Engineer - Skills & Experience Required
- Electrically and mechanically qualified with strong diagnostic abilities.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Generator Service Engineer.
- Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring diagrams.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and service reporting systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage a varied workload.
