JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Yard Person to support our day‑to‑day site operations, with a focus on Goods In activities and site security. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth flow of materials, ensuring accurate stock control, and upholding a safe and secure working environment.
· Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery notes.
· Inspect incoming materials for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
· Accurately record all goods in movements and update stock systems.
· Organise and maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient yard space.
· Assist with stock rotation and storage of materials in designated areas.
· Safe systems of work and understanding Visual Operating Procedures
· Support internal departments with material movement and collection requests.
· Monitor access to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles enter.
· Perform routine site checks for outgoing vehicles.
· Enforce site safety rules for visitors, drivers, and contractors.
· Check vehicle documentation, delivery notes, and ID where required.
· Report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or hazards to management.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

· Basic admin experience
· Experience with stock control systems.
· Basic IT skills (email, delivery booking, goods‑in systems).
· Previous experience in a security‑based role.
· Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Sideloader).
