Safeguarding Statement
The safety, welfare, and wellbeing of every child in our care is our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment through robust safeguarding procedures that comply with current legislation and local guidance.
All team members receive regular safeguarding training to help them identify and respond appropriately to concerns relating to neglect, abuse, exploitation, and extremism. Safeguarding is embedded in everything we do and is the responsibility of every member of our team.
We follow safer recruitment practices, including enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and qualification verification, to ensure all employees are suitable to work with children.
We work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure every child is protected, supported, and given the best possible start in life.
Copies of our Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment Policies are available in the nursery entrance, and our management team is always happy to answer any questions.
If a parent or member of staff has a safeguarding concern, we encourage them to speak with either the Nursery Manager or the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Alternatively, concerns can be raised through the following organisations:
- NSPCC Whistleblowing Advice Line: 0800 028 0285
- Ofsted Whistleblowing Hotline: 0300 1233 155
- Care Inspectorate (Scotland): 0345 600 9527
Concerns may also be reported anonymously through our independent whistleblowing provider, Safecall:
- Online: www.safecall.co.uk/report
- Telephone: 0800 915 1571
Information posters are displayed throughout the nursery to ensure all staff know how to raise concerns confidently and appropriately.
