Job Title: Residential Child Care Worker - Driver required

About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Residential Child Care Workers to join our team supporting children and young people in a residential setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need stability, guidance, and care.
This role includes sleep-in shifts as part of a rolling rota, where you will be on site overnight to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential home
- Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model
- Support young people with daily routines, education, appointments, and activities
- Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and life skills
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans and reports
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
- Work as part of a team to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
- Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the rota (additional allowance paid)
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting young people’s welfare
- Previous experience in care, support work, or working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 in Children & Young People) is desirable — training can be provided
- Full UK driving licence essential
