Audiologist
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and immittance testing.
- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses of hearing loss or other auditory disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including fitting and programming hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Provide counselling and education to patients and their families on hearing loss management, communication strategies, and hearing conservation.
- Perform cerumen management, including ear wax removal.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists and speech-language pathologists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology.
Experience:
- HCPC Registered
- Strong knowledge of audiological assessment techniques and procedures.
- Experience with a variety of hearing aid brands and models, including programming and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
