We are looking for a reliable and motivated Despatch Operative to join our team at our Lerwick Processing Facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring finished products are prepared, checked, and dispatched accurately. You will also monitor automated stacking systems and help maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
THE ROLE
Duties focus on the safe, efficient handling and despatch of finished products to our customers. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment, with opportunities for training, development and career progression.
Key responsibilities include monitoring automated stacking systems, loading and unloading trailers, checking product accuracy prior to despatch, and ensuring all products are handled in line with quality, food safety, and traceability standards. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, uphold high housekeeping and safety standards, and work closely with production and logistics teams to support efficient operations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable individuals with excellent attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach to work. The successful candidate will be a team player, flexible in their approach to working hours, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or food production would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, any 5 days over 7.

Pay: £28,908.00 per year
