Pay: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
Hours: 6-day rolling rota
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent

Willow House is a small specialist children’s home based in Ely, Cardiff supporting children and young people with additional learning needs and complex needs. We provide a calm, nurturing and highly supportive environment where young people feel safe, understood and able to thrive.
We are expanding and are looking for experienced caring Senior Residential Support Workers who are registered with Social Care Wales and genuinely passionate about making a difference.

Role Overview
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will lead shifts and act as a positive role model within the home. You will support children and young people with complex needs to feel safe and valued while ensuring care is delivered to a consistently high standard.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and wider team to promote stability and structure for each young person.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and supervise Residential Support Workers
- Ensure high quality, child centred care is delivered at all times
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Support children with daily routines, activities, appointments and community access
- Promote independence, life skills and emotional wellbeing
- Complete accurate electronic records, reports and handovers
- Encourage, recognise and celebrate progress and achievements
- Uphold safeguarding, policies and regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – essential
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Experience working in residential childcare – essential
- Supervisory experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
- A calm, compassionate and resilient approach
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
