We are seeking a motivated Transformation Lead to join our Strategy, Performance and Change department. This role sits at the centre of our project-level delivery capability, acting as the primary point of coordination for operational, commercial and strategic change opportunities across B2B. You will be working closely with Transformation Managers, Business Analysts and specialist teams, including New Propositions, Continuous Improvement and Quality. You will translate strategic intent and operational insight into actionable change. You will own and manage a significant pipeline of initiatives, applying structured impact, effort and value assessment to prioritise opportunities and ensure focus on the highest-value outcomes.
The role is responsible for shaping and coordinating a diverse backlog of change activity, ranging from quick-win improvements and process enhancements through to timeboxed project opportunities that may be delivered directly or transitioned into larger strategic programmes.
If you are someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys bringing structure to complex problems, and is comfortable operating between strategy and execution in a regulated, fast-moving environment we would love to hear from you.
Core responsibilities:
- Act as the central intake point for B2B change demand, ensuring opportunities are captured, assessed and routed appropriately.
- Assess opportunities and determine the most appropriate delivery route, transitioning larger or specialist initiatives into Transformation, Continuous Improvement, Quality or New Propositions teams where appropriate.
- Own and manage the B2B backlog, ensuring initiatives are clearly defined and sequenced.
- Apply structured impact/effort/strategic value frameworks to evaluate opportunities and recommend prioritisation decisions.
- Lead the delivery of smaller-scale transformation initiatives, operational improvements and quick-win opportunities from scoping through to implementation and embedding.
- Define clear problem statements, success measures and delivery plans for each initiative.
- Work closely with Business Analysts to refine requirements, validate feasibility and ensure clarity of scope.
- Ensure changes are embedded into BAU with clear ownership, controls and performance tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver agreed change initiatives.
- Remove blockers, manage interdependencies and ensure alignment across concurrent projects.
- Support Strategy, Performance & Change Managers in ensuring project and programme activity aligns with wider portfolio objectives and strategic priorities.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities through stakeholder engagement and data insight.
- Drive incremental and continuous improvement initiatives alongside larger strategic change programmes.
- Support development of scalable processes and controls that improve efficiency, customer experience and commercial performance.
For this role, you'll need to be based within a reasonable distance and able to travel to our office in Stroud, Gloucestershire, as the role requires weekly office presence.
Essential skills:
- Proven experience leading project-level change or transformation initiatives within a complex organisation.
- Experience managing a high-volume backlog or pipeline of initiatives with structured prioritisation frameworks.
- Experience working within regulated industries (energy/utilities desirable).
- Strong exposure to cross-functional delivery across commercial, operational and technical teams.
- Strong delivery orientation with the ability to move from ambiguity to structured execution and measurable outcomes.
- Skilled in assessing and prioritising opportunities using impact, effort, value and strategic alignment criteria.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence prioritisation decisions.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to link change activity to measurable business, customer and operational outcomes.
- Clear and structured communicator, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Flexibility statement
The fast moving nature of the business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis. This allows the company to utilise our people in the best possible way at all times and helps our colleagues to make the best contribution in a changing environment.
Ecotricity is Britain's overall greenest energy company- it’s more than just green energy – the breadth and depth of our work on green issues is unmatched. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity - the green kind.
Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain - by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.
We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too – we have built windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this turning 'bills into mills'.
We don't just focus on energy though- we built the Electric Highway, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points; we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world; and we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk, where they use the money from their customers' bills to protect and regenerate Britain's lost rainforests.
Ecotricity is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing equality for all.
