We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie specialising in South Indian cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team at TAMILA SOHO & TAMILA KINGS X. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure a seamless dining experience. Duties
- Prepare and cook traditional South Indian dishes with attention to authenticity and presentation.
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations, ensuring smooth workflow during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor ingredient quality and manage stock levels, ensuring freshness and availability of supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold restaurant standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting specialising in Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian culinary techniques, ingredients, and traditional recipes.
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm for culinary arts.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential. This position is ideal for dedicated culinary professionals passionate about South Indian cuisine who wish to develop their skills further while contributing to an authentic dining experience.
