Traffic Planner – Hull Depot
Humber Ports Logistics Ltd is an established haulage company in the Humber region with strong ties and good customer base.
Due to increased demand at our Hull Depot, we have moved into a larger, more fit for purpose site and are looking for an experienced Traffic Planner to join our traffic team. Working predominantly with container and curtain sided trailers.
As part of our busy Traffic team, you will be involved in daily fleet planning and ensuring that the company meets our customer’s needs.
Responsibilities:
Daily planning to ensure best vehicle & driver utilisation.
Adhering to Fleet KPI's set out by management.
Liaise with customer services team to ensure that the company meets customers’ expectations.
Monitor and update our in-house TMS, proving updates to customers.
Maintain files and electronic records as required.
Assist Transport Manager with Daily/weekly/monthly reports when required.
Assist Fleet manager to ensure that company vehicles are compliant and
maintained within government guidelines.
Plan warehouse workload, liaising with staff and customers.
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have worked with a Transport Office for a minimum of 2 years, along with excellent IT skills and strong organisational and time management skills.
Holding TM CPC is desirable but not essential.
We operate a 24/7 business within a fast-paced working environment; therefore, the candidate will need to be flexible to meet the operational needs of the business, including weekends and on call on a rota basis.
Shift pattern: 06:00-15:00 / 09:00-18:00
On call: 1 week in 2
Saturday morning: 1 week in 2
The package offered is negotiable, dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
