Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Relief Reception and CCTV Security Officer for our clients site in GL52. The successful candidate will be responsible for reception duties and monitoring surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work flexibly as relief cover, maintaining high standards of security and alertness throughout your shift. The ideal applicant will possess strong observational skills, report writing abilities, and a commitment to safety, including first aid knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing access control at reception
- Welcoming visitors and assisting with enquiries
- Directing contractors
- Maintaining and updating the site logbook
- Locking and unlocking the main reception doors
- Monitoring CCTV cameras and identifying any suspicious or unauthorised activity
- Completing internal patrols of the building and checking doors are secure
- Reporting all incidents and updates to the Building Manager and Line Manager via Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) and email
- Managing the key box system and issuing authorised keys to contractors with approval from the Site Manager or tenant
- Recording all key movements accurately
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence - essential
- Valid CCTV licence - essential
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be comfortable working lone shifts
- Must be confident using Excel, Word, emails, and mobile apps
- Must be physically fit and able to walk stairs and patrol the building
- Must have reliable transport to ensure punctual arrival to site
- Must arrive 15 minutes before shift start time
